Mermaid's Tail: Nail of the Day

I recently decided to paint my nails a teal/royal blue with iridescent greens and aquas. This is the perfect mermaid's tail combination. The blue represents the tail, and the glitter on the ring finger represents the scales and shimmer. 

 I used NYC's Empire State Blue on all my fingers, and NYC's Starry Silver Glitter on my ring finger. I also wore NYC's topcoat.

This is a close up on my fingers. The blue ranges from teal/navy/ and royal blue depending on the light. It shimmers, but the dark color tones it down. The ring finger has chunky glitter on top. I wanted something with actual glitter to complete the look, and add dimension. This combination makes the perfect mermaid tail!

 

I hope you enjoyed this nail of the day! All these colors are 99 cents and are available at any drugstore. I personally love this pair, and will be wearing it throughout summer and fall!

Sephora or Ulta? Sephora- it would be Ulta, but there's not one in my town :(

Gel, Liquid, or Pencil Liner? I like liquid on upper lashline and pencil on waterline.
What are the last three beauty related things you bought? From Sephora I got the Feelin' Cheeky set (Benetint, Posie Tint, and High Beam), and Bare Escentuals lipgloss, eyeshadow, and liner set. I also got a Physicians Formula trio in Baked Smokes.
Natural or Smokey Eye? Natural! It's fun to do a smokey eye for special occasions though.
Bright colors or light colors? I like bright colors more in general, but as for makeup I would say light/neutral.
Red lips or pink lips? PINK <3
Going out or staying in? Both :)
Curly hair or straight hair? I naturally have curly hair, and I like it the way it is. Yet, sometimes it's sleek and different with straight.
Pets or no pets? Pets! I have a dog named Toby :)
Texting or talking on the phone? I'd rather talk, but i love to text!

Trend Alert: Coral Is The New PINK!

Hey Everyone! I have been noticing that Coral Watermelon has been really popular lately. I love the bright color, and is super fun! It's more sophisticated that neon, but is totally unexpected! I love this color with gold accents. I find that gold highlights it best. Tell me how you like to style coral in your wardrobe!
