Victoria's Secret: Beauty Rush

Hey Everyone! For Christmas I received some Victoria's Secret items, including some from Beauty Rush. Earlier today, when I was at the mall (a haul will be up soon!), I noticed some more Beauty Rush items. I decided to blog about Beauty Rush in general.

BEAUTY RUSH:

What is it? Beauty Rush is a brand that sells through Victoria's Secret. They offer beauty addictions of glosses, lotions, shadows, scents, and more.
Where can you purchase? Victoria's Secret stores or online at victoriassecret.com
Deals/Prices: On beauty items, regular products are $7 each, or 2/$12, or 4/$20. For fragrance and lotions, they are regularly $12, or mix and match 3/$25. If you end up taking advantage of these deals you can save $10 or more!

Take a look:

Lip Gloss

They sell a variety of shades (more than 20+) with a great quality color and consistency. They all smell delicious and are great to have on hand. I have a few and absolutely love them! They also have some available with SPF 15.

Wet/Dry Shadow

This shadow can be used wet or dry and is very buildable. They have several shades that compliment every eye color. They are smooth and rich and very shimmery. I have some bronzy shades and the shadow consistency is so smooth!

Fragrance Mist

Beauty Rush has several fragrances with the following titles:
  • Candy Baby
  • Juiced Berry
  • Love Addict
  • Wink, Wink
  • Secret Crush
  • Sweet Tease
  • Plum Drop
  • Wild Kiss
My favorites are Candy Baby (duo of sugar and vanilla) and Juiced Berry (sparkling mix of wild raspberry and strawberry). Each fragrance has a matching lotion, cream, shower gel, and bubble bath.

Hope you all enjoyed! Have you tried any Beauty Rush products before? XOXO Charlotte

Style Star: Shay Mitchell

Sorry about the blog post break. The holidays got in the way- but it was very fun! Getting back into post writing, I thought a Style Star post on Shay Mitchell would do. She seems to be on top: Pretty Little Liars returns this upcoming week (which she stars in) and her Seventeen Magazine Exclusive PROM Photo shoot Cover. She's down to earth and wears it well :)

Shat looks sheek and cozy with the layered sweaters, skinny jeans, and booties. Her casual is definitely wearable!

At the Teen Choice Awards 2010, Shay rocks a teal mini. It hugs her curves perfectly, and the shoulder detailing is adorable!

Catch Shay on the cover of Seventeen Magazine's PROM issue. You can view more Seventeen Exclusive interviews and pictures featuring Shay here.

Hope your Holiday season continues to be wonderful! XOXO Charlotte

mmm... good! Apple Cinnamon Recipes

Hey Everyone! Hope your holidays are fantastic :) I've been loving apples lately, and especially with cinnamon. I thought I should round up a few of my favorite recipes to share with you all.
Click the link to take you to a delicious Apple Cinnamon Muffin recipe on All Recipes. They'll melt in your mouth and have the perfect crumbly factor (especially if you devour right after they get out of the oven!).

Ingredients:8 cups chopped Fuji apples (about 6 apples)
2 tbsp. brown sugar (not packed), divided
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon, divided
1 1/2 cups old-fashioned oats
1 cup light vanilla soymilk
1/3 cup sugar-free pancake syrup
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. light whipped butter or light buttery spread (like
Brummel & Brown)

Directions:
In a large bowl, mix apples with 1 tbsp. brown sugar and 1/2 tsp. cinnamon. Stir to coat apples well. Transfer to the crock pot.

In the empty bowl, combine oats, soymilk, 1 tbsp. brown sugar, 1 tsp. cinnamon, syrup, and salt. (All remaining ingredients except butter.) Add 1 cup water and mix well.

Add oat mixture to the crock pot, and gently stir. Cover and cook on high for 3 hours or on low for 7 hours.

Add butter and mix well. (Do NOT forget this step. Stick a Post-it to your timer if you have to!) Serve and enjoy!

MAKES 5 SERVINGS
*One giant cup has only 250 calories!

Warm Cinnamon Apples
This recipe is super easy can be eaten as a (healthy!) and tasty snack. All you have to do is slice up a apple. Place apples into a microwave safe bowl and sprinkle desired amount of cinnamon (depending on liking) and mix. If you like it sweeter, add a no-calorie sweetener packet and mix as well. Then, place bowl in microwave for 1 minute. Stir a bit and enjoy.
**OPTIONAL: If you prefer to not heat it up, they taste great cold also.
**For a tastier treat, crumble up a graham cracker on top of the warm apples. If wanted, you can also add a squirt of whip cream or Fat-free Cool Whip. Yum!

Hope you enjoyed my Apple-Cinnamon Recipe Roundup. There are a variety of ideas depending on amount of time needed to achieve the meal, and for different snack options. Happy Holidays :)

The Anywhere Workout

Hi Everyone! For me, on winter break, if I don't plan something for me to do, I can get lazy. I've set a goal to do at least 30 minutes of physical activity, and also keeping myself active throughout the day. Other than some Seventeen Magazine health articles (which I love!), this Women's Health Workout caught my eye.

Do each move for 1 minute. Repeat 3 times for a total 24-minute workout! You can do it literally anywhere: home, office, even while watching TV!

*For a more difficult workout, add a 5-10 pound weight to exercises 1,5, and 8.

Hope you enjoyed this! Happy Holidays! xo Charlotte

Pacific Blue: I've been wanting this color forever!! I've heard great reviews and love the shade.

Cherry Red: An adorable holiday color! I love this red because it pops and doesn't look dull.

Wined Up: This raspberry will look great on your nails for winter. I love how you have the cranberry tones without being super dark.

Commander-in-Chic: This is a love or hate polish. It's a mix of gray and taupe. I'd definitely recommend it if your going for more nude nails.

Hope you enjoyed! Have a great and relaxing Sunday! XO Charlotte

Small Haul: Rite Aid

On Sunday afternoon, we needed to run into Rite Aid for a bit. While I was there, I couldn't resist these two items.
I hate the chapped lips that occur during the Winter season. I picked up this tin of lip balm on clearance for- WOW!- 25 cents! There is a ton in the tin and it smells like a tropical punch. The blue is also translucent so you don't have to worry about crazy alien dyed lips! hahaha(:

While I was in there, I spotted a NYC blush. I have been looking for the perfect "natural" blush that glides on with a glow. This is perfect! It doesn't sparkle and leaves your skin brightened. I got the cheek glow powder blush in the shade Central Park Pink. It was originally $2.99, but all NYC products were 40% off- score!

Hope you all enjoyed my "small haul"! Happy Holidays! XOXO Charlotte

Combat the winter skin dullness with these healthy food choices:

Fish like salmon, tuna, and trout have omega-3s which is great for your skin. They soften dry skin by holding in moisture, which will liven up your face. Check out Peanut Butter Fingers for a this salmon recipe roundup!

Eating tomatoes can actually block out the sun's harmful rays. Eat these to prevent sun damage.

Naughty or Nice Series: Dear Santa!

Hey! Everyone! I'm starting a series of all the "Christmas Themed" posts I'll be doing. It might include things from tags to fashion. The first one is a tag called: Dear Santa. I saw Life of a Sweetaholic post it and it looked really cool. Here goes:

Egg Nog or Hot Chocolate?
Hot chocolate! I'm not a big fan of eggnog.

Does Santa wrap presents or just puts them under the tree?
Well, technically, the elves wrap the presents. BUT- yes, Santa does wrap them!

Colored or white lights on tree/house?
Colored lights on the tree and white lights on the house.

Do you hang mistletoe?
Yes, we hang mistletoe on the roof above our front door entry porch.

When do you put your decorations up?
My family starts getting the decorations out on Thanksgiving. We pretty much have everything set out aside from stockings within a week after that.

What is your favorite holiday dish?
It has always been a tradition of prime rib on Christmas Eve.

Favorite holiday memory?
My favorite holiday memory is waking up and hurriedly waking up my sister and parents and rushing downstairs to the tree!

Do you open a gift on Christmas Eve?
NO!!!! It might be usual for some families, but in mine, it's a no-no. They all look tempting, but we wait to open them all on Christmas Day.

How do you decorate your Christmas Tree?
The lights on the tree are yellow/whitish, red, and green. There are an arrangements of hundreds of ornaments. There are also frills and glitter sticks all with one giant sparkly tree topper. It's all out.

Snow! Love it or dread it?
I like it if it truly is pure snow. I'm not a fan of when it's just frosty. I like it when it's pure snow so that you can ski, sled, and do all the other snow festivities.

Can you ice skate?
I'm not an olympiate- but, I am pretty good at ice skating.

Do you remember your favorite gift?
I don't think I have a favorite, it's so hard to decide!

What's the most important thing about the Holidays for you?
The most important thing is having a good time with your family and loved ones. And to also remember that the joy comes from giving not receiving.

What's your favorite holiday dessert?
Peppermint Bark!

What is your favorite holiday tradition?
Location is a place we change regularly for the holidays. Some things that we always do are: make homemade pancakes after opening presents, stockings come last, parents presents first, presents from santa last.

What tops your tree?
An arrangement of sparkly decor.

Which do you prefer: giving or receiving?
I love giving because you get to either shop or create something that someone else will (hopefully!) enjoy. There is a part of me that enjoys receiving for the fun of it as well :)

Candy canes... yuck or yum!?
YUM! Especially dipped in hot chocolate!

Favorite Christmas show?
I don't think I watch shows made specifically for Christmas. I do like watching the movies that they play on ABC Family: 25 Days 'Till Christmas.
Saddest Christmas Song:
I don't think I've heard one that's sad. I mean, some are slower, or softer, but non that are tear worthy. Have you heard one?

Feel free to try this tag out and leave a link below! It made me get into the spirit and think all about the holidays! XOXO Charlotte

7 Reasons Why You'll Love: Skinny Bootcut

I have a new jean find: SKINNY BOOTCUT! It is now my ultimate favorite! They are literally glued to my thighs and calf! This is the pair I have from 7 for all mankind

 7 reasons why you'll love:
  1. The perfect fit! They hug your thighs and bum, and then flare out! There is NO bunching or riding up. They fit like a glove!
  2. Comfort is key :) Although the upper half is fitted, they remain the comfiest jeans ever! The material is a bit stretchy, while keeping the classy designer material.
  3. The wash is classic. The refreshing dark color looks great on everyone while looking chic. You can pair anything with it.
  4. They pair well with everything. Yep. Converse, boots, heels. Whatever floats your boat.
  5. 7 For All Man Kind is a trusted brand. I love it, and is one of my favorite jean designers. It hasn't let me down yet!
  6. $169, is pricey. BUT- considering how much I love and recommend these, $169 is a steal!
  7. Last but not least, these are the best of the best just because. They fit where you want them to and flare out at the right spot. The wash is so complimenting and the hem is perfect. The detailing is just right from front to back. Enough said.
Just wanted to share! XOXO Charlotte
